Sotavento Beach
During our holiday on Fuerteventura the isle really got me fascinating. Often people think that to see some beautiful and nice beaches of white sand and to practice watersports you have to go very far.
In my opinion this is wrong, because on Fuerteventura, on the canary archipelago you find many beaches, which look like in the Caribbean.
We enjoyed at the beaches not only by sunbathing and doing watersports, we had very nice moments strolling along the romantic beaches. My favorite beach on the isle of Fuerteventura with difference is the beach of Sotavento in the South, between Costa Calma and Morro Jable.

The Sotavento beach is very famous for windsurfing and kite surfing because of the perfect wind conditions. Directly at the beach you can find a water sport center, where you can rent surfboards and material for watersports.
The center offers as well surfing classes. The only thing what was a little negative where the high prices for the rental. If you find the prices very expensive as well, you can share equipment between more people. If you would share the equipment you shall not tell at the rental, because they are used to charge you a 70% additional. But this was really the only negative thing on the Sotavento beach.

On the Sotavento beach you can find as well some really cute and funny animals, which are a kind of squirrel. I really got impressed by the nice ambience on the Sotavento beach. Here tourism is not yet such a big thing as in the real touristic centers on the isle.

If you go tot he end of Sotavento beach, you can practice nudism. Here some people build a kind of stone buildings, which are very practice. Beside the wind protection the stone walls are as well positive to enjoy some intimal atmosphere.

The days on the Sotavento beach I will not forget so soon, I felt like in a paradise in the Caribbean. The wonderful colors of the water and the sand dunes have been of my favorite holiday memories.
